MINUTES OF THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Meeting Date: November 29, 2010 Place: Pine Tree Restaurant
Big Sir Earl Nelson opened the meeting at 8:00 AM and called for self introductions. Assistant Secretary Ed Nissen reported that a quorum was present (see attached attendance report). Minutes approved (Honeychurch/Bushnell).
TREASURER'S REPORT:
Treasurer Dennis Honeychurch reported a beginning balance of $4960.70 and an ending balance of $7151.56 for the month of November. General Receipts: $172. The main expenses for the month were: Printing & Supplies - $68; Answering Service - $8.00; $24 Badges, $10 Visitor Expense. Christmas Party Custodial Account receipts were $2360; Paid out approximately $240. The Treasurer’s Report was approved (Porter/Jensen).
2011 Budget approved: Income $4710; Expense: $4710. (Bushnell/Porter)
ATTENDANCE:
Attendance Chairman Bill Anning reported that 11 Sirs had called that they would not be attending the luncheon. Sir Harvey Uhl reported that 9 visitors would be attending. McCracken to be notified.
MEMBERSHIP:
Membership Chairman Larry Bertuccelli reported that the following gentlemen will be inducted at the December Luncheon Meeting: Danny Villa, Bob Fisher. Alan Day applied for membership, also Doug Peters. Moved and approved to accept applicants (Honeychurch/Porter). With this action the membership will be 150 active and 4 inactive.
STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS:
LUNCHEON: Sir McCracken via Nelson reported that all is set for Wednesday’s luncheon with Baked Lemon Chicken for the main course.
PROGRAM: Little Sir Henry Beltran reported that Tirzah Woodward, attorney, will discuss Estate Planning at this Thursday’s lunch. Craig Pedro, Tuolumne County Administrator, will talk about current county issues in January luncheon.
COMPUTER USERS GROUP: No Report.
WEB PAGE: No Report.
GOLF: Sir Uhl reported no outings planned for this year.
BULLETIN: Sir Stu Heller via Nelson requested that all items for the December bulletin be submitted to him by Thursday, December 9th.
PUBLICITY: Sir Gil Wesson reported that the Union Democrat did not publish a notice of the Luncheon.
TRAVEL: Moved and approved: Hawaii Islands Cruise, 24 Sep to 31 Sep 2011, per form 53. (Porter/Nissen). Horse Race outing went well, most enjoyable.
FISHING: Sir Herb Spierling via Beltran reported no fishing activity until 2011.
RV: Sir Uhl reported a list of 2011 outing dates have been approved; will be presented to Board.
THEATER: No report.
PINOCHLE: Sir Roland Patton requested approval for the Pinochle game, Monday 6 December. Approved (Porter/Beltran).
HIKING GROUP: Sir Jerry Jensen requested approval for a hike on December 9, to Gooseberry. Approved (Bushnell/Porter).
MOVIE: Sir Gil Wesson requested approval for 2 dates, one stag, one drag for December; dates to be determined. Approved (Bushnell/Beltran).
FELLOWSHIP: Card sent out… Don Woolridge’s wife broke collar bone.
MOUNTAIN BIKING: Sir Ralph Legg via Nelson has no activity for 2010.
OLD BUSINESS:
Christmas Party meeting planned after Wednesday lunch.
NEW BUSINESS:
Moved and approved to accept resignation by Ed Nissen as Assistant Secretary for 2011 (Nissen/Porter).
Moved and approved to appoint Ron Hawke as Assistant Secretary for 2011 (Nissen/Porter).
All business having been concluded, the meeting was adjourned at 9:06AM.

The next Executive Committee Meeting will be 8:00 AM, Monday, January 3, 2011, at The Pine Tree Restaurant, next to the Best Western Motel, at 19601 Hess Avenue, with breakfast starting at 7:00 AM. The monthly luncheons are held on the first Thursday of each month at the Sonora Elks’ Lodge with the exception of August and December.
