Meeting Date: November 1, 2010                                         Place: Pine Tree Restaurant

Big Sir Earl Nelson opened the meeting at 8:00 AM and introduced Sir Jim Stedman, Chairman, State Training Committee and Director, Region 6. Sir Stedman was given a warm welcome by all in attendance. Big Sir Nelson called for self introductions.   Secretary Dan Mohn reported that a quorum was present (see attached attendance report). Big Sir Nelson requested approval of the Minutes as they were written and electronically transmitted to the Branch Officers and Directors.  Approved (Honeychurch/Bushnell).

TREASURER'S REPORT:

The main expenses for the month were: Printing & Supplies - $159.87; Postage – $88.00; Visitor’s Expense - $20.00; State Board Pro Rata Assessment - $147.00 and, Answering Service - $7.95. The Treasurer’s Report was approved (Nissen/Beltran).

ATTENDANCE:

Attendance Chairman Bill Anning reported that 21 Sirs had called that they would not be attending the luncheon. There was no report on visitors expected. Big Sir Nelson requested that Attendance Chairman Anning and Luncheon Chairman Jim McCracken coordinate as closely as practical to give the Elks Lodge Caterer, Dean, the best count possible. Sir Anning will call Sir McCracken around noon Wednesday with the latest information on excused absences. Sir McCracken will then give Dean his best estimate on the number of diners to prepare lunch for.

MEMBERSHIP:

Membership Chairman Larry Bertuccelli reported that new member Otto Giuliani, sponsored by Sir Ralph Legg, will be inducted at Thursday’s Luncheon Meeting. This action will return the membership to 150 active, and 4 inactive members.  Chairman Bertuccelli reported that in the past, 150 Membership Rosters had been printed, at a cost $1 - $2 each, for distribution each January. Considering that 90% of the membership now uses electronic mail, and the roster is posted, up-to-date monthly on the Branch Web Site and easily accessible to all members, Sir Bertuccelli suggested that only enough rosters be printed for distribution to those Sirs who cannot access the roster on line. Discussion ensued. Consensus: Print 50 copies of the roster for distribution at the January Luncheon Meeting to those Sirs who want them. Advise all members that the most up-to-date roster is always available at the Branch Web Site. Passed (Nissen/Bushnell).
